Family Asset Protection: Divorce, Finance and the Media – Second Edition launched!

We are delighted to announce that our senior partner, Marcus Dearle, has co-edited and contributed again to the England and Wales and Hong Kong chapters in the brand new 2nd Edition of ‘Law Over Borders Comparative Guide Family Asset Protection: Divorce Finance and the Media’ (‘the Pink Book’) published by Global Legal Post. Congratulations also to Rahanna Choudhury who contributed to the England and Wales chapter.

This multi-jurisdictional guide provides a practical and up-to-date comparison for professionals advising in the context of HNW and UHNW divorce and separation, focusing on Family Asset Protection, including trusts, nuptial agreements, financial disclosure and enforcement.

And uniquely, each chapter covers media access to the family courts. Recently retired High Court judge, Sir Philip Moor of 1 Hare Court, stated in his foreword to the book that he was ‘delighted’ to see media access was covered, as ‘this is an aspect of the work that, for entirely understandable reasons, troubles clients enormously’.

It is intended to be concise and in a form that can be sent to lay clients and contacts.

A huge thank you to all the contributors to this edition from across 12 jurisdictions, and in particular Marcus’ co-editor James Sheedy of Collas Crill. The digital version of the Pink Book second edition can be downloaded here, and we look forward to the full physical release at the Luxury Law Summit in New York on 12 November 2025.
