Annabel Shields

Annabel (née Humphreys) advises on a wide range of family law matters including divorce and cohabitation, financial remedy proceedings, private children law and relationship agreements including pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements.

Many of Annabel’s divorce and finance matters have a strong international dimension and many of her cases involve substantial business interests and trust structures.

On matters involving children, Annabel works on a range of cases including arrangements for children following the breakdown of a relationship. Annabel has particular experience advising clients in cases concerning welfare issues and allegations of domestic abuse.
Annabel works closely with her clients to achieve the best possible outcome in a positive and constructive way both in litigation and out-of-court negotiations. Annabel is recognised by her clients for her dependability, empathy and ability to provide clear and pragmatic advice.

Annabel qualified as a solicitor in 2021 at a West End firm where she trained under Patricia Hollings. She joined Miles Preston as an Associate in September 2024.
